Lisa H. Donnelley, J.D.

Born August 8, 1960 in New Haven, Connecticut, Ms. Donnelley was admitted to the Oregon Bar in 1990 and the Alaska Bar in 1991.  Ms. Donnelley received her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy, Analysis, and Planning from the University of California Davis in 1982.  Before going to law school, Ms. Donnelley studied Polish at the Defense Language Institute and served as a signal intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army.  Ms. Donnelley earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oregon in 1990, Order of the Coif, and was an editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation.   

Ms. Donnelley became a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 1999 and has concentrated her practice on immigration and naturalization law since then.  Ms. Donnelley previously served as a law clerk to the Alaska Supreme Court and Alaska Superior Court from 1990 to 1993, when she entered private practice.  Ms. Donnelley practiced in the areas of public lands, Indian law, and civil litigation, including class action litigation, until she joined her present firm as an associate in 1999. She later established herself as a partner in the law firm in 2001.  Her law firm, Donnelley Law Office, LLC, was the predecessor to Donnelley & Stahl, LLC. 

 

Michael R. Stahl, J.D.

 Born August 10, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Stahl was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 1987 and the Alaska Bar in 1988.  Mr. Stahl earned his BA at the University of Wisconsin in 1984, and his JD at Marquette University in 1987.  Mr. Stahl has studied abroad in Spain, France, and the Russian Far East, and maintains professional level proficiency in Spanish and conversational level proficiency in French and Russian.

 Mr. Stahl became a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2000 and has practiced nearly exclusively in immigration and naturalization law since that time.  Mr. Stahl previously worked as an Assistant Municipal Attorney for the Municipality of Anchorage for almost nine years both as a criminal prosecutor and as a civil litigator.  He taught high school Spanish for two years with the Anchorage School District.  Mr. Stahl also has worked as an attorney for the federal government, with a large private firm, and with a non-profit corporation providing immigration legal assistance.  Mr. Stahl started his own private practice in 2001 and merged with Ms. Donnelley in 2005 to form Donnelley and Stahl, LLC.
